We got our first Mastiff in January 2002, our wonderful boy Bogart. When we picked up Bogart he stole our hearts. From that day on he was known as our “Sweetie Boy”.
Due to Bogart’s charm we knew we had to get another Mastiff. In the summer of 2003 we started looking for our new addition to our family. Needless to say we didn’t get one but 2 puppies to add to our family. Those 2 puppies are our foundation girls Dagney & Gia.
Our mission is to produce health purebred Mastiffs that meets the AKC breed standards in type, temperament and health.

We have been breeding and showing dogs since 1984. Some of the males we used in our breeding program Ch. Our Kennel name is derived from my two kids name and the first letter from mine and my wifes name.

Breeding for temperament, type, conformation, and size. Our dogs are show dogs and many times champions and they are health tested for hip and elbow dysplasia, CERF, Cardiac, Thyroid, CMR, and PRA certified. Puppies come with a wide range of socialization, first vaccines/dewormings, microchipped, dewclaws removed, registration and a lifetime of support. John and I got our start in the Mastiff world in 2005 with our girl Jaclyn. Since then a few more Mastiffs have come to live at Stargazer.All our dogs are raised in the home and are a part of our family. We started showing in the conformation ring in 2006 when Buster turned 6 months old and both of us really enjoy showing our gang.
We enjoy exhibiting our Mastiffs in AKC shows on a local/regional basis, to earn their AKC Championships, and breed only whenever we have what we believe to be a very outstanding example of our breed to carry on with, in mind and body, and when we and our friends are ready for that next amazing family member and beautiful Mastiff to carry on with.
Our dogs are family and we believe in trying to produce the most well-adjusted, healthy Mastiffs that fit the standard as closely as possible. Our dogs are pets first and we love taking them out and doing obedience work with them
My goal as a breeder is to produce healthy companion pets with sound temperaments that conform to the mastiff standard. Mastiffs became more than my hobby they became my passion.
